My confusion has cleared as I have these great points to start off from. In the 1920's, riots in Florida and Tulsa destroy the black communities. Should you not receive the piece you bought, document a complaint on paper. In addition, the common people were hit hard by wartime scarcity. The statement provides a list of abstracts and vouchers. Looking backwards, and hitting the pause button at the Gettysburg Address or the passage of the 13th amendment, we see a "good" and successful war for freedom.

Convinced that he could reunite North and South by proposing a joint campaign to throw the French out of Mexico, Blair badgered Lincoln to give him a pass through the lines to present this proposal to Jefferson Davis. Some of the important slave revolts in early America were the Stone rebellion, Louisiana revolt, Fort Blount revolt and Nat Turner revolt. Despite a firm stand for the spiritual equality of black people, and the resounding condemnation of slavery by Pope Gregory XVI in his bull In supremo apostolatus issued in 1839, the American church continued in deeds, if not in public discourse, to avoid confrontation with slave-holding interests.

In the Texas Declaration of Secession it states, "In all the non-slaveholding States, in violation of that good faith and comity which should exist between entirely distinct nations, the people have formed themselves into a great sectional party, now strong enough in numbers to control the affairs of each of those States, based upon an unnatural feeling of hostility to these Southern States and their beneficent and patriarchal system of African slavery, proclaiming the debasing doctrine of equality of all men, irrespective of race or color—a doctrine at war with nature, in opposition to the experience of mankind, and in violation of the plainest revelations of Divine Law.
