    Escape

I want to go shopping.  I don’t mean I need to go shopping – I don’t, particularly.  I just want to go out to a store somewhere and spend money and buy something fun or pretty – a trashy novel, cute clothes for the boys, yarn or maybe a nice tablecloth for my table.  I need to spend money, I really do. I want to watch television. I don’t mean I want to watch some particularly good or edifying television show that I’ve been longing to see.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and the Future of America

Had a Red Robin Gourmet Burger and Now I Am Nostradumbass So your immodest game writer went to Red Robin, the burger chain, the other night. While the experience is fresh in my mouth (why does that sound wrong?), I feel I must crack wise about what Red Robin gourmet burgers tell us about the future of this country. Red Robins are really a microcosm of what is good and bad about the name-branding and big-boxing of America

Getting there Thursday October 1st I met up with fellow Swedes Patrick Finch and David Tenser (ok, Patrick is actually British, but he lives in Sweden, so it counts as one of us ) to get on our flight with Czech Airlines. They were about to participate on Friday

Opinion poll examines most important questions facing Arizona

[Source: Dan Nowicki, Arizona Republic] – Most forward-looking reports from policy think tanks or universities face a huge hurdle: selling their proposed goals and recommendations to the people.  The Center for the Future of Arizona hopes to avoid that fate.  The Phoenix-based organization – or “do” tank, as it likes to call itself – went to the people first to learn their hopes and desires for Arizona’s future.
