Man Pleads Guilty to La-Z-Boy DUI

Well, the law says that for a person to be charged DUI he had to be driving a vehicle, and apparently motorized upholstery counts as a vehicle too. That’s what we found out today when a Minnesota man pleaded guilty to driving his motorized La-Z-boy while drunk. The Laz-boy was powered by a converted lawnmower and even had a cup holder and a stereo

    Another weekend passes by

Thalia wants to know, how was your weekend? On Saturday I hung out with Em and the kids, and then on Sunday went out and saw the Columbus Crew play the New England Revolution (we lost, 1-0). Someone gave us free tickets at the gate, which was pretty cool, and I blew the money I saved thanks to that on overpriced watery beer, which meant I had a great time, thank you very much

Facing Reminders of the Past and Present in Recovery

It’s fairly normal to start a work week and find yourself asked something about how your weekend was. What’s less normal, at least for me, is not being able to fully answer the question. This weekend was a bit stranger than mine have tended to be for a while now.

    Are Americans Becoming Less Nomadic?

As a puny yet honest attempt to show you that I actually read other things than plain economics I thought that I would share this piece with you on declining nomadism amongst Americans; it is written for Newsweek by author Joel Kotkin. I am not quite sure whether he believes the ageing of the population to be the decisive factor contributing to the rise of localism which he speaks about or just a factor among many

Blogs: Why Publish Journals On The Net?

Why journal writing on the Web? Blogs are journals giving anyone an identity, and an awesome forum for sharing thoughts and ideas with others of similar interests.br / br / Journal writing used to be a private, personal experience done late at night, scribbling hardly legible thoughts and daily occurrences down on paper amidst the haze of a barely lit room. When read over on a later date one could find connections and coincidences that sometimes brought deeper insights into the meaning of life
