    Spain: From Madrid to Benidorm

We couldn’t have had a better first few days in Spain. After a 9 am landing on a cool, late-February morning at Madrid’s Barajas International Airport, our trip was about to go much better than we had expected. Arriving in relatively good spirits from Portland, my girlfriend Kate and I hopped on the Madrid Metro for a quick ride to our hotel in the Puerto del Sol , the heart of the city center.

Packaging Whore: Guadagni Jug O’ Wine

A few weeks back, my bff Kristi, Nate and I stopped by Preston Creek Winery on our way back from the Ladhabhoy nuptials in Healdsburg, Sonoma County (I went to a total of seven weddings this year- that’s IT! NO MORE PLEASE!). Nate had heard about Preston and their organically grown wines from his vino connoisseur pops, so we decided to take a drive out to Dry Creek Valley and check it out.

    Revisiting old haunts

When I went on my travels a couple of years ago around Spain and France, I didn’t have a huge number of amazing beer experiences to report.  Nonetheless, there were a couple of interesting places  to which I was keen to take Baileythis time round.
