The title is a reference to one of my favorite songs by the Goo Goo Dolls— the irony is that “Better Days” came out way after their top-ten hits like “Iris”, “Slide”, “Black Balloon”; the justification is that the song is [possibly] a reference to that earlier time period in their musical career.
