Take Heed and Chai-Apple Coffee Cake

A few thoughts and words of advice: Should I be worried that my husband laughed and said “I’m going to shake your head like a Polaroid picture” while watching tv the other night? I jokingly told him one more time means divorce. He cracks me up because I don’t expect him to say something motivated by the entertainment/celebrity/mainstream music world.

Give teens one month to plan and comparison shop for thanksgiving.

When I was at the high school yesterday for a Board meeting, I literally ran into one of the seniors when she plowed into my back, her nose in her cell phone, madly texting.

    Week 58: Settling In

It’s amazing how fast you can settle in to a routine. We’ve been in our new place for less than three weeks and already it feels like home. As Mike mentioned last week, we’ve both been trying to work off all the beer and deep fried foods we consumed last year in Asia, and work is starting to pick up

    Countdown to Thanksgiving…the stuffing continues

My stuffing , I was told, is too sweet. I’m reheating it again and I’ve added two more potatoes (to soak up some of the sweetness) about 20 more olives and a tsp more of capers as well as half a bottle of beer (Corona). God, I hope it turns out.
