A couple of weeks ago we decided we needed a little vacation plus it was a perfect excuse for an early anniversary celebration. We had a gift certificate to a Missouri Bed & Breakfast so decided a trip to Hermann to sample some wine, eat German food and ride our bikes on the Katy Trail was just the thing.

If they built a Pick N Save on every block and the Pick lowered its prices to “everything for a penny”, I would still stop at Glorioso’s on Brady several times a year. For all the fake charm Pick can stick in its deli department, there is stuff on the shelves on the tiny aisles of Glorioso’s which I’m not sure you can find elsewhere in Wisconsin. But it’s more than just the billion types of cheeses and olives and sausages and pastas which makes me grateful there’s a Glorioso’s.

Well, it seemed like a very unimportant sentence at the time, and perhaps she didn’t realize that I would take it seriously when she wrote it, but our friend Sara Holladayof the Fantasy Football Librarian made a colossal error when she wrote the following line in last week’s picks when talking about the Eagles/Raiders game: Philly will no doubt win by more than 14 points against the Raiders. If they don’t, I will be stunned. I will eat a brussel sprout.
