The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the eight month of the Chinese lunar calendar which falls in the midst of autumn and hence its name. A day where we used to pray to the moon with the burning of incense and offerings of special delicacies . We, the children(as this was a long time ago) would light our lanterns in various animal shapes while in the hope that we don’t burn down the poor animal or at the worst the whole house!
